Fullfat Publications - Requesting Work From Artists...For Free

The folks over at Coxsoft Art News sent me a request they received from a Dhugal Dennison of Fullfat Publications (the email is at the bottom of the page). Dennison is requesting artwork for a new book series, the first of which contains 21st century digital artwork. Their aim is to sell the books, but the artists are not paid for their contributions.

blogTV.ca - update

I received a very quick response from blogTV.ca regarding the ownership of user-generated content. They confirmed that the copyright belongs to the user who created it (assuming, of course, that the user didn't infringe on someone else's copyright) and referred me to their Terms Of Use page...which is worth reading.

BlogTV.ca - will you be giving them all your copyrights?

Matthew Ingram from the Globe & Mail recently wrote a piece on the new BlogTV.ca. It seems that BlogTV.ca is claiming copyright to the user-generated content on their site. I contacted their Customer Service department for clarification on their ambiguous wording, and am waiting on a response. Of course, I'll post the response once I receive it. For details, read Matthew Ingram's blog posting or the real websites with unfavourable terms page.
